Garfield has to be one of the most world-renowned cats in the anime series. Now you will be able to play as Garfield in a free strategical game. This game is called Garfield’s defense and the name is straight forward so you will be spending time defending something. You might be wondering what exactly you will be doing or what’s the thing you are trying to defend from. Don’t worry I was also all confused at the beginning but things start to be more clear after a while.

I love the ideology of the background story that’s provided by the developers. So there are alien food invaders who are trying to take away Jon and his cat Garfield’s house. They are just trying to convert food into vehicles and weapons to take over the world. This ideology is absurd but so funny at the same time. I’m glad the developers didn’t stick to the old same plot like alien invasion but make this invasion more fun through food. I love this type of creativity and the willingness to offer something, unlike the others just like how the comic book writer or the anime director did in the book or on screen.

As you can probably tell by Garfield’s personality, he can’t stand someone taking away his house and certainly all his food. I love how this game relates to the actual personality that Garfield has. This game is also a good combination between siege and tower defense strategic games that I’ve never thought the developers could be done with the character of Garfield. And guess what, what you are trying to defend in your house? It’s a freaking refrigerator with all the food! This has to be one of the funniest things I have to defend from ever in my gaming career.

I love the weapon designs in this game as well because as you can mostly tell, the developers didn’t use the traditional way of thinking but a more open and unexpected way of making stuff up. So you are trying to control Garfield to have forks or rolled up newspaper or what’s so ever. This is what makes the game so great because it’s unique from all the other games that are on the market. The other thing I love about this game is the fact that it’s not just about Jon and Garfield but there are more characters you will be able to summon like Nermal, Wade, and so on. It’s always nice to see those old memories appear on your phone screen after such a long time. I love it because it makes me feel like the old friends I used to have been fighting by my side once again but this time is for the peace on earth.

And this game is a strategy game so you will have to make the right move at the right time or the consequence could become disastrous. You will need to think in a critical way that a fast reaction time and the familiarity of the characters will help you to fight back easily. You certainly don’t want to lose it to the aliens and you don’t Garfield to become all alone in a world that has no lasagna, which is his favorite food. The other thing I think it’s great about this game is that this game is not limited to only one mode but has multiple modes for you to challenge yourself in. There is quite a lot to see in this game and I would totally recommend you all download this game and just have a good time with Garfield and Jon while saving the world.
