Mario is a short, pudgy, Italian plumber who resides in the Mushroom Kingdom, the title character of the Mario video game franchise and the mascot of the Japanese video game company Nintendo. His adventures usually focus on saving Princess Peach from Cooper's villain Bowser. Mario can use various props to give him different abilities. He is a fictional character created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, born in the era of flat pixel images, and his current appearance is rendered in 3D modeling by polygonal modeling techniques. Mario has appeared in over 200 video games since his creation.
