Editor‘s Review

Lego Batman: Beyond Gotham is a small action game that has everything you need to see. If you are a Lego fan who enjoys real-life Lego Creation. You probably already heard about the Lego series of video games which is as cool as all those Lego characters. This is a special combination between a comic book character and a Lego piece which will bring up some special feelings for you as a player. Just be prepared for what’s happening in Gotham city.

The game feels sort of restrictive in Its way and the story isn’t as focused as other Lego Superhero games that were published back then. Although the storyline might not be as focused as the other generations, the game still attracts players with the villains like Jokers, etc when they are playing the game for a long period. There are quite a lot of characters for you to try in this game which you would love to do if you haven’t heard all of them. The game on your Xbox and your mobile devices might be extremely different and I will elaborate on that a little more in the next future paragraphs.

The DC universe is wild with more than 100 more characters and they each possess their unique abilities and superpowers. In the game, you will be able to unlock special suits and unlock special abilities for your characters. There are missions that you can do. You might be asking if am I talking about different games, cause this paragraph might sound a bit different in the way I’m talking about it. The answer is that I’m still talking about the same game but the Xbox version and the mobile version are completely different. The game costs a couple of bucks for you to download on your phone and compare to the extraordinary world the other version has offering, this version of the mobile game has so limited content. Although they have the same name, those two games are so different. The one on Xbox has an amazing graphic but the one on your phone has terrible graphics and the resolutions look like it was published ages ago. The dialogues and plots on this mobile game are poorly designed and I feel like the company chose to take the elements of the original game and break them into pieces to show the players the unfinished version of the game. The game has no captions or words for the cutscenes.

There are positive sides that people are bringing up on the mobile version as well. The outfits are fun to try on and the control system is relatively easy in this game. The mobile version also has a surprising feature that I love about it the fact that you can connect it with your controllers which makes your phone practically function as an Xbox despite some dysfunction for your controller since it’s not 100 compatible which requires you to touch your screen to solve puzzles. There are some glitches that you will be experiencing. Oh I forgot to mention, the original version was also released on Wii adding to the Xbox series, so this generation on the phone could bring back a lot of memories for players who tried the older version on those two platforms.

Overall, if you want to try Lego Batman: Beyond Gotham, I would suggest you start with either the Xbox or the Wii version since there is more content and it’s more original but the mobile version is decent with some flaws that you will be facing. So it’s up to you to spend 5 bucks to buy on your phone or do it in an old-fashioned way.
