Editor‘s Review

SpongeBob Frozen Face Off is an interactive game that will take you to the world of SpongeBob and his friends. It’s mainly designed for kids and you can read SpongeBob like a story instead of watching the actual Anime. It’s not necessarily a game but more like an app that you can read for your kids or let your kids read by themselves. SpongeBob and his friends are on a race adventure. You will be asked to look for hidden Jelly Beans to collect and you can make your alternate endings which means you have the ability to explore your ending.

The game costs around 3 bucks and there aren’t a lot of people downloading it. There are quite a lot of negative comments under the game because the app won’t even open that you already spent your money on. The game’s introductory pictures are nothing like the actual gameplay which wasn’t what I was expecting from the gameplay. The game is awkwardly designed and I don’t like how the graphics look like. The storyline is interesting thou but the texture of this game looks so weird in so many ways and the text format is also not designed for kids because it looks like those text formats where you use them for an essay.

The developers didn’t spend that much time on this game and there is nothing else to expect from the game because the game only has 500 downloads. I love how everyone sticks with each other in this one setting which looks like something that would happen in the cartoon. This game isn’t that fun if you are looking for the details and fun of the storyline but its main purpose is to explore the words and understand what the story tells.

There isn’t anything else to talk about in this game. But I want to add up what the developers could have done to make the game 10 times better than it’s right now. I feel like the game could be more intuitive if the developers could hire someone to do short videos of the storyline that will capture the app user’s attention. Also, the texture and the wording of the dialogues could be revised in a more SpongeBob way where it could be more cute and fun. The game could have a better audio system that makes kids have a good time by themselves even if they are by themselves. The kids don’t necessarily have to understand what the story is about but still to make sure the game has enough content available for the players. Anyway, I know this game was developed a long time ago and maybe I’m not asking that much from it.

There ain’t that much to conclude about this game since it’s old and there isn’t a lot to see in the app. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone at this point the time because it’s an old app which a lot of design and story flaws and it doesn’t even work well. The storyline would be better if you can make your own choice along the way and make you're ending yourself. It’s more fun and more explorable than it’s right now. Overall, there isn’t too much else to express but this game still could be fun if you are a big story fan or you are just in love with the SpongeBob series. I would recommend this game to someone who wants to surprise themselves with 8 years old relatively vintage storyline-based game if they haven’t done anything like this in their lives just to discover something new.
